I’m Dan Levy, an American football coach with over 15 years of experience at the high school, NCAA, and international levels. As a head coach I’ve won three national titles and hold a winning percentage above 75% across more than 100 games. I have coached every position on the field and have successfully helped amateurs develop into pros.
If my extensive time coaching abroad has taught me one thing, it’s that talent is everywhere. The bottleneck isn’t speed, strength, or desire — it’s coaching. Send the whole game. Highlights hide the exact reps I need to see — I’ll pull the teaching plays out myself.
Intercut end-zone + sideline film is the gold standard. If you only have one angle: wide/sideline works best for skill positions; tight or end-zone is better for OL, DL, and linebackers. Either way, I need to see your whole rep — not a zoom chasing the ball.
1080p is ideal, 720p works. A shaky phone clip that follows the ball usually can’t be graded properly.
Don’t cut the clips short. I need each play from the snap through the whistle.
If your number isn’t always visible, highlight yourself in the video or note timestamps. If you rotate, tell me which snaps or series you’re on the field.
If you’re not getting game snaps yet, practice film can work — mention it when you book and we’ll figure out what’s gradeable.
